Every Summer in the nearby town Lucca (30 km) you can partecipate in Lucca Summer Festival and take advantage of the entire surrounding area of Lucca, which offers several wineries, where you can taste traditional Tuscan  wines.  For golf lovers, we suggest to reach the 18-hole golf course available within an hours drive from Villa Lidia.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Dating back to the early 1900s, the villa was built as a country retreat by a famous Italian theatre actor of the early 20th century who performed, among other stars of the theater, with Eleonora Duse. Villa Lidia was a meeting point of the Italian intellectual and artistic élite.  

Completely renovated in 2017, it includes all the modern comforts like air conditioning in all rooms, satellite TV, Wi-Fi in and around the villa while retaining its unique “Art Nouveau” charm. In the gardens there are two gazebos, one for drinks and relax and the other for dining, a true oasis of peace and tranquility. There are also a ping-pong table and a built-in barbecue.

Ground Floor

The main entrance of the villa leads into a bright and large well furnished living room with an open fireplace. Through French windows you can access the garden and two gazebos, one where you can relax enjoying a drink while the other is ideal for al fresco dining furnished with a dining table. On the other side of the living room, there is a corridor –  furnished with an old Venetian ceramic stove and a beautiful Bechstein piano – leading to the dining area. A second corridor leads onto a spacious, well-equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and breakfast table. From the kitchen, there is an easy access to the garden and the gazebos. Guests can also enjoy a home theater room equipped with satellite TV, CD/DVD players and hi-fi. Two bathrooms with showers completes the amenities of the ground floor.

First Floor

The sleeping area, consist in five large bedrooms of which are 3 doubles and 2 are twins each with a private bathrooms  of which 4 are en-suites. One of the bedrooms has a balcony.

Second Floor

A charming apartment, furnished in a modern style, with double bed, bathroom with shower and bathtub, TV and a furnished terrace with a panoramic view overlooking the garden.  

Third floor

On the third floor there is a wide terrace furnished with sun loungers, garden furniture with seatings from where its possible to enjoy an amazing view over the entire valley.

Swimming Pool

In the garden there is a large fenced pool ( 9.6 meters x 6 meters ) located close to the forest, reached by a short flight of stairs. The swimming pool is equipped with a solarium in white stone from South Italy, umbrellas, deck chairs, sun loungers and an outdoor shower with hot water completes the garden features.
