LOCATION: 

Villa Elena is set in the picturesque village in the area of Cappanori, a short drive from Lucca. It is surrounded by rolling hills and retains a peaceful, rural sense of relax. The vast area around Lucca stands out for its numerous fortresses, castles and medieval towers, elegant  villas and other important and refined buildings. Guests will enjoy a relaxing vacation in a landscape rich of history. Just around the corner from the villa, you’ll find a local bar, a shop and an excellent traditional trattoria of the village. 

HIGHLIGHTS & VILLA LAYOUT

In addition to long alfresco lunches, lounging by the pool and early morning hikes up the hills into the cool pine forests, there is a huge variety of activities that that you can do on site.

​The main villa has 12 double bedrooms. Each room is uniquely decorated with a charming touch of Tuscan design. All bedrooms, but two, in Villa Elena are en suite (the two other bedrooms share a bathroom). There are also several additional living rooms with a grand piano and well as common areas where you can spend time playing table games.

​The building has 3 floors and a basement floor The original building dates back to the 15th century, but through the years there have been many changes and the actual aspect of Villa Elena is that of the early 1800’s when it was purchased by a local noble family. The main façade is the one facing north, which has a large door with architrave and stone frames. There is also a similar entrance on the south side of the building where there is the flower garden, a pond, flowerbeds, rose gardens, paths and pergolas. The estate also includes other buildings such as the Lemon House, the building where the lemon trees were traditional stored each winter, now a beautifully decorated full service kitchen often utilized for cooking school demonstrations and a consacred Chapel, for wedding ceremonies, also with a grand piano.

​Villa Elena also has a separate building, a very charming farmhouse with 4 double bedrooms and a triple bedroom, all with en suite bathrooms. There is also a exquisitely decorated sitting room, dining room seating six people and a kitchen. 

The current owners have greatly restored the villa and all its frescoes, transforming it into a modern and picturesque property without spoiling its original beauty.

Accessible from the garden and pool area lies a sound proofed basement “night club” for after hours partying. Games room ( 8 x 6 meters ). American pool table. Cinema seating for 20 guests accessible by 12 steps.

Ground Floor

P. ( Double/Twin bedroom )Bedroom entails two twin beds and en-suite bathroom with bath. This room is prefect for elderly people who do not like stairs. Beautiful view over the front courtyard.

Small family Kitchen with 4 gas coves and oven and family Room ideal for intimate dining with wooden table and four chairs.

Formal dining room ( 6 x 10 meters ), which features three crystal chandeliers and which can seat up to 35 guests with beautiful frescoed ceilings and access onto the garden through 5 steps. 

Card Room & Library. Library and bridge table. Television Room. Half bath

The Lemon Kitchen, which is a very large demonstration kitchen, ideal for cooking lessons, in traditional Tuscan style with seating for 18 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and features a large wooden table in the center and has a balcony accessing the garden.

Reachable by 21 steps. A secondary access leads directly down to the garden.

F. ( Double/twin bedroom ) with double bed and shared landing shower room with Napoleone Suite. 

G. ( Double deluxe room ) with wide double bed and with en-suite bathroom with bath. Breathtaking views over the pool and the hills.

GUESTHOUSE

Ground floor

At the entrance lies the spacious kitchen with a rustic wooden table, 5 coves, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, micro-oven. The kitchen also has a secondary exit to a private “alfresco” dining terrace and garden with pizza oven and wonderful views of the Tuscan hills and the Alpi Apuane. 

Dining Room, also with access onto the garden ideal for intimate dining for six guests, beautiful dark wood table and chairs to sit down and enjoy a magnificent meal prepared by a private chef. 

L. ( Deluxe/Twin bedroom ) large room with small en-suite bathroom with shower. 

H. ( Deluxe double bedroom ) large room with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. 

First floor

Reachable by 14 steps gives access to a living room with sofas, TV and fireplace with two windows, perfect room to curl up with a book and relax after a long day of exploring Tuscany.

P. ( Deluxe double bedroom ) with double bed with an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. In addition to the en suite bathroom there is a large walk-in closet.

A small corridor gives access onto the two other bedrooms:

W. ( Deluxe double Room) with double bed with en-suite bathroom with shower. Views of the beautiful landscape are seen through the windows of this spacious room.

H. ( Deluxe Triple Room) Three single beds with small en-suite bathroom with shower. ( No window ) 

Swimming Pool

In the middle of the garden lies the swimming pool (10 x 16 x 3 meters ) with a separate children’s pool. The area is comfortable furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas and enjoys an enchanting night lightning with different color shades. Furnished lounge area with garden furniture. Recently renovated pool side dining area with seating for up to 88 guests 

Private Chapel

The chapel dates back to the 18th century and in 1870 it was rebuilt to a public chapel The chapel has a fine neo-classic façade, with an arch on the upper part of the building portraying floral motives. This historical chapel (6 mts x 13 mts), seating 125 guests and has a Grand piano.

​Access & Parking

Private car parking on site in a separate area, on the opposite side of the street for up to 40 cars. Suitable for minivans. Not suitable for larger busses.
