LOCATION

Villa Diamante is situated in Amalfi, in a very quiet and uber-panoramic position, a 5-minute walk from the town centre. The property is an ancient monastery completed restored with taste and sense of proportions. A small path and about 100 steps lead directly to the property. The beach of Amalfi is reachable in 5 minutes on foot. Built in the XIII century by a group of Franciscan monks, is now a splendid villa, equipped with all the modern comforts in order to host weddings, meetings and other important parties, the all preserving the ancient architecture of the hermitage, rich in precious and elegant decorations. The villa is composed by twelve double rooms, with vaulted or frescoed ceiling, finely decorated with artistic hand-painted ceramic from Vietri sul Mare and equipped with LCD TV SAT, telephone, internet connection, air conditioned and heating. Guest may choose to book both the entire structure and single rooms, divided into Standard and Suite.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

A large terrace with an aromatic lemon & orange garden boasts a gorgeous view along the Amalfi Coast. The terrace is divided into various areas: the sunbathing area with young grass equipped with sun lounge chairs and an external shower, another area with breakfast tables, comfortable chairs and benches decorated with varicoloured, handmade Vietri ceramic tiles; and the covered part of the terrace – the outside dining area – boasts a pizza oven and sink and is equipped with tables and long ceramic benches and chairs with a lot of seating space. This area has a plenty of light at night and is just perfect for external dining or a party.

Third floor

A set of 20 steps up from the living room lead you to the double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and its own spacious terrace with a spectacular view of the coast. This bedroom is perfect for those seeking complete privacy.

Second floor

The main entrance of the villa leads to the foyer with a small panoramic balcony and a dining room with a precious wooden table suitable for 8 people. The dining room accesses (by 3 steps) a specious and beautifully tiled, fully equipped kitchen that boasts a large refrigerator/freezer, toaster, espresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and a large oven. The kitchen enjoys direct access to the outside covered dining area.

The living room is divided into two spacious areas, both elegantly furnished with a sofa, armchairs and tables and enjoying a big flat screen TV. There is an internet corner (WI-FI connection only in the lounge area and vicinity); it is impossible not to note the beautifully hand-painted ceilings and characteristic ceramic floor tiles indigenous of the region. The living room enjoys 270° sea views, balconies, and an access to the terrace through a set of panoramic French doors. There is a ½ bathroom (toilet and sink only) here as well.

First floor

15 steps down from the living/dining room bring you to the first level that enjoys 5 double bedrooms and 2 suites. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and enjoy beautiful Vietri ceramic tiles everywhere. The bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and wonderful coastal views from their windows & balconies. Satellite TV with flat screen, air conditioning, and safes are among the facilities found in the bedrooms. The first floor can also be independently accessed from the trail leading to the property.

Ground floor upper level

A set of 11 steps leads to the second floor where 2 bedrooms (all with en-suite bathrooms) abound. All of these bedrooms are relatively standard in size, offering Mediterranean style furnishings with air conditioning, a safe, and a flat screen TV. All rooms have either windows or a balcony and a small refrigerator.

Ground floor

11 more steps down lead to the third and final floor where there are 2 more cosy, double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms offers a lounge area as well.

Note: The 2nd and 3rd floors can also be independently accessed from the trail leading to the property through its small vineyard.

The Swimming Pool  (Second floor)

Private inground swimming pool is 4 meters (13 feet) large by 6 meters (20 feet) long, 1.5 meters (5 feet) depth is equipped with a table, chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun loungers.

Main Terrace (Second floor)

several sitting and lounging areas are available, including a covered patio with generous dining table and wood-burning oven. Manicured garden and lemon terraces surround the property.

Notes: This villa can be rented either with 4 or with 12 rooms. All the bedrooms can become twin bedrooms. In order to maintain the original monastery’s characteristic, the stone walls were left authentic.

Access & Parking

You will reach Villa Diamante going up a 250-meters (680-feet) from the coastal road, passing through the public walkway that includes approximately 200 stairway steps. Due to its location, Villa Diamante is not suitable to people with walking difficulties. Check in with luggage included from 08.00am till 11.00am and from 03.00pm till 07.00pm. Parking: you will be able to park it downtown, for a fee, in a public parking lot (being the lot a public one, parking spaces cannot be reserved).

VILLA POLICIES

• Maximum 24 Guests: Villa Diamante can be rented either with 8 (minimum 16 people) or with 12 rooms (max capacity 24 guests) prices and surface area change according to the number of people, additional and variable costs apply — please enquire with our staff –.
• The swimming pool is open from 1st May to 31st of October 2018
• Check in time: 3.00pm to 7.00pm. For arrival between 7.00pm and 10.00pm an extra charge of €200,00 is require covering also the luggage service.
• No arrivals will be accepted after 10pm
• Those who arrive after 10.00pm will need to check at our office at 9.00am the following day
• Departure times: before 10.30 a.m.
• Porter service available and included in the cost from 08.00am till 11.00am and from 03.00pm till 07.00pm.
• Security deposit: credit card as guarantee to cover any damage / or cash
