So, take your time in ambling around Sorrento’s Baroque and Renaissance center, shop for Limoncello or the iconic lemon-motif ceramics, dine at one of the many delightful restaurants and bars, visit a Romanesque Church or just relax, soaking up the seductive coastal atmosphere. For a real show-stopper, why not head on over to the Amalfi Coast. As you navigate the road of a thousand bends – surely one of the most picturesque drives you’ll experience, discover pretty Positano with it’s majolica-tiled church and winding streets bursting with shops and cafes, romantic Ravello producing magnificent mountaintop views and Amalfi with it’s cluster of whitewashed buildings and lovely piazzas. Or, for all the culture vultures, why not head to Pompeii or Herculaneum for the day to visit the perfectly-preserved cities engulfed by volcanic ashes when Mount Vesuvius erupted. An epic sight.

Villa Calipso was built in 1950 and it has been transformed into a luxury modern property after a total and meticulous renovation in 2020. Situated in the quaint fishing village of Marina Grande a location that has featured in many movies because of its romantic and authentic ambience, the Villa’s main characteristics which distinguishes it from any other property in the Sorrento area is the exceptional location by the sea, which allows guests to dive into the blue waters of the Gulf of Sorrento directly from the terrace of the house. Imagine how could be satisfying at the end of a long day having enjoyed discovering the beauty of the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts, relaxing on the terrace watching the sunset, listening to the waves lapping while sampling the local wine. Villa Calipso is equipped with the most modern air conditioning, video security and WiFi. Your complete privacy is guaranteed by the professionalism with which the 24-hour surveillance service is carried out. The Villa is arranged on one floor with four double bedrooms each furnished in a modern style, with private en-suite bathroom and chromotherapy showers and private exit to the garden or terrace. The interiors of the house are created to provide maximum privacy for guests (with separate rooms, with independent exits to the terrace or garden, and en-suite bathrooms), but also to allow you to spend family evenings, reuniting in the cozy and spacious living room. A large open space living room/kitchen that opens directly onto the terrace overlooking the sea – the most popular gathering place in the house. A romantic fireplace will help warm up cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped (silverware, dishes, large pots, kettle, toaster, wine cellar, dishwasher, blender and coffee and ice machine) with an electrical induction hob. A transparent glass table can accommodate all your guests for a delightful Sorrento meal perhaps cooked by one of our in-house Chefs who you can book for a special evening or event.
