PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Torre Hermes provides the perfect retreat for those looking for privacy and relax in one of the most evocative corners on the Amalfi Coast. Set between an infinite blue sky and azure sea, the spectacular cliff-top setting of this ancient tower ensures superb panoramas. Torre Hermes can accommodate up to twelve guests featuring six double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom spread over four levels.The main entrance leads you onto the main terrace and a terraced garden; on this terrace you have a paved terrace just outside the tower; this is the ideal place for a set up with table and chairs and umbrellas for al fresco dining. Accessed from the garden by three large glass doors, the property also boasts a winter garden featuring comfortable sofas, a pool table and cinema. Outside, you will find a spacious al fresco dining area with a large table. Further down the terraced garden there is a paved terrace where the oval shaped pool lies. The pool is reached by walking a small path besides the garden. Above the pool (17 steps up) lies a pizza oven with a BBQ, this area has small tables with chairs and an inbuilt stone bench. Just the place where you would like to enjoy a cool drink or a piazza.The entire terrace, garden and pool enjoys an amazing Sea view overlooking the Bay of Salerno with Vietri Sul Mare with its colour full house lying along the mountain slope, the little beaches and inlets along the coastline, Salerno city in the back ground and so far to the Cilento Coast.On the either side towards The Amalfi Coast you overlook, at a distance, the exclusive beach club and restaurant Il Giardino Del Fuenti. Below the tower lies a small beach inlet called Marina di Albori; The tower has its own access by a path of 188 steps leading down to this beach, which is a public beach with sand and small pebble stones.

Floor below

Suite 1 – accessible by an independent access from the staircase leading from outside to the tower. There is a smaller paved terrace below a maritime pine, which makes it an amazing place to spend time even during day time reading a book or just sipping a glass of wine. Small double bedrooms en suite bath with large shower, ceramic tiles (No window) There are 10 steps from the room leading onto the outside (Sea faced terrace space).

Suite 2 – reachable internally from bedrooms 1 and from outside with 8 steps. The second bedrooms is furnished with an open wardrobe and a chest of drawers. En-suite bathroom with large shower box and small window. 26 steps up from here leads you back to the main terrace

Ground floor

Flooded with light, the main level of the villa boasts an open-plan living and dining area complete in a massive wooden table with chairs and fireplace. There is a sofa and two coaches. The room has those antique terracotta tiles decorated with hand painted ceramic tiles. From there a corridor leads to a guest toilet and the further down there lies a nice kitchen fully equipped with oven, electrical coves, grill, large fridge and freezer, sink and dishwasher. The kitchen has a vaulted ceiling with a floor with hand painted ceramic tiles. Built in the 16th century, the Tower boasts an outstanding collection of antique paintings and artefacts dating back to the last centuries. 

First floor

On the level below the living area, among lemon trees and views of the blue Sea, there are two bedrooms both having access onto a sea faced terrace overlooking the coast.

This floor lies in the upper part of the tower with those two little side towers.  

Suite 5 – Double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom having an oval shaped shower box set up with mosaic tiles. There is a small window. The room has access onto a private terrace with Sea view. Antique wardrobe. There is a corridor with library.
