The villa is beautifully located on the sea side in an area which is part of the naturally protected marina “Punta Campanella” On the farthest edge of the amazing Sorrento Peninsula, Massa Lubrense is situated in a natural landscape of intense beauty. The town is made up of various suburbs, all boasting a lively, local lifestyle, delicious gastronomy, breathtaking views, and plenty of architectural beauty.  Part of the Massa Lubrense municipality includes the hamlets of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, Marina della Lobra, Termini, Marciano, Marina di Puolo, and Monticchio. The nearest village, Massalubrense, full of local restaurants and staple stores & shops is only a minutes’ drive.

Ground Floor, entrance level

The dining room seats 14 and is directly connected to the kitchen.  The country-house style kitchen is fully equipped with both a large gas oven and a small microwave oven, gas range-top, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, a kettle, electric coffee machine, and a marble topped countertop.  Nice tiled floors decorated with antique hand painted ceramic tiles illuminate the kitchen which is connected to a storage room offering a washing machine and ironing facilities, 24h ice maker, as well as a half bath.

First 3 bedrooms and bathrooms located on the Ground floor

You will be able to enter in all bedrooms from the corridor. The first bedroom on this floor has (bed size 1.60 x 2 m.) a French window with sea-view, air conditioning and large dresser. En-suite bathroom with shower box and window. The second double bedroom (bed size: 1.80 x 2 m.) French window with sea view though trees. Equipped with Air conditioning large dresser. The third bedroom (beds can divide twin or double, bed size: 1.80 m. x 2 m.) with French doors allowing direct access to the back the villa. The second and third bedrooms of this floor share the bathroom with tub.

Alfresco dining area / Garden

The ground floor of the villa also accesses an outdoor patio furnished with a sofa and chaise lounge chairs, as well as with a table and chairs. There is also an authentic pizza oven and barbeque, as well as a tennis table and a football table. The large garden is located on various levels. The top level offers unique views of the coast and of the sea!

Lower Floor (Living room and outdoor lounge area)

7 steps lead down from the ground floor dining area to the living room, enjoying parquet floors, a fireplace with antique ceramic tiles, and large windows facing the sea and external patio.  The living room is furnished with two sofas, couches, tables, and chairs and boasts a large, flat screen TV. From the living room, you will be able to the patio through two French doors.

The outdoor lounge area also enjoys a wood floor and is furnished with 6 lounge chairs, tables, built-in benches with cushions, potted flowers, curtains, and various lightning to make it the perfect area to relax both during the day as well as well into the evening and night.

First Floor

The Master bedroom is reachable from the ground floor, 18 steps up from the dining room.  The Master enjoys a double bed (King size: 2 m. x 2 m.), a built-in closet, hand-make tiled floors from Turkey, sea-view windows, and an en-suite bathroom with ceramic tiles and a shower, boasting windows with a lovely garden view looking out towards the island of Capri. This floor offers direct access onto a terrace wrapping behind the villa as well as onto a second, roof top terrace fully equipped with sun lounge chairs and an outdoor shower.  The roof top terrace offers great sea views overlooking the Bay of Naples, the island of Capri, and the cliff line of the coast.

18 steps up from the master corridor lies another double bedroom boasting access onto a private, sea-view terrace facing the cliff line and looking over the pool area.  This room enjoys a double bed (Bed size 1.60 x 2 m.) with partial sea and hillside view and shares a private bathroom with bathtub and a built-in closet with a small double bedroom with bunk beds suitable for young children or teens, (bed size: 2 bunkbeds 80 x 1,90) that also works well as a single bedroom.  The smaller bedroom enjoys access onto a private terrace behind of the house (garden view). A final, spacious double bedroom (bed size: 1.60-meter x 2 meters) with French windows facing the sea, a built-in dresser, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower conclude the accommodations of the villa.

Sea Access & Pool Area

A pleasant walk of 110 fenced steps leads from the villas ground floor down to the magnificent sea side.  The pool house enjoys an outdoor cold-water shower, a kitchenette with gas stove-top, a refrigerator, and a double sink.  There is a dining area with a round table and chairs and an half bath, provided with a hot water shower. 20 steps more leads to the pool (6 x 5 x 1.20 meters). The pool, built into the natural rocks and paved with beach stones, is filled with sea water directly from the Mediterranean. Sea Access: 20 more steps lead to the direct sea access equipped with a staircase leading into the water.  

Access & Parking

The villa can only be reached by car (small-medium size, please ask for more information) down a semi-private side road which winds down to the property through an olive tree grove. Important notice: From the main street level and gate of the property a small private road downhill leads to the parking area of the villa Aretusa that is not accessible by large vehicles / SUV, minivans as the road is very narrow. The distance from the main road to Villa Aretusa is about 800 meters and there are no street lights in this street. Parking: There is a private, un-gated parking area just outside the entrance gate with space for up to 3 or 4 cars.
