The villa was built in 1776 by a Baron and was once a fiefdom of the viceroy of Naples.  The property can be reached by car or by walking a path of steps down from the center of the small hamlet. The area of the beautiful entrance is adorned by the original portal and by an amazing fountain dating back to the 17th century built after the Italian Rococo Style in lava stone and tuff stone. A former washhouse on the side of the garden testifies to the century old traditions of the area. Villa Livia offers a relaxing stay in an authentic property full of history and charm. Antique pieces of furniture, terracotta pavements, and hand painted tiles with floral decorations creates a perfect harmony.

The Terrace

The lobby leads onto a spacious terrace with a beautiful view overlooking the islands and the Sorrento Coast. The terrace, with its beautiful terracotta tiled floor, offers guests different areas of relaxation furnished with chairs and sofas. An outdoor dining area consist of a ceramic topped iron table, ideal for al fresco dinners or for enjoying a delicious breakfast. There is also a barbecue, and a picturesque water well that was in use up until 2008. Furthermore, the lobby offers additional space and a shaded area around a table seating 4. The terrace is shaded by decorative canvases creating shade over the terrace.

Ground Floor

From the lobby you enter the ground floor, and from here you have access to a double bedroom with an iron wrought queen size bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe, and drawers with a mirror. Small window, TV, en-suite bath with shower. Second double bedroom with double bed, bedside table, built-in wardrobe, mirror, drawers, A/C.  Wi-fi, TV, en-suite bath with shower . Charming living room divided into two areas of which one has a balcony with a beautiful panoramic view. Sofa and library with coffee table books and other items. Sofa, 32” flat screen satellite TV, as well as a vintage record player. Spacious kitchen in a rustic-country style. Charming but very functional: 5 range stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer. Wooden table seating 8. Panoramic balcony with a writing desk. The hood is beautifully decorated with terracotta tiles.

First Floor

8 steps leads from the lobby onto the first floor. Small living area with a 2 seater sofa.  On the left there is a contemporary kitchen with a balcony facing the terrace and the pool area, equipped with 5 range stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, guest toilet.  On the right lies a dining room with table seating 6; from here there is access to the two bedrooms located on the first floor. Double bedroom with queen size bed, bedside table, buil-in wardrobe, wardrobe with mirror. En-suite bath with shower, small window, TV. Double bedroom with queen size bed, bedside tables, two built-in wardrobes, TV and a panoramic window. En-suite bath with shower. The dining area also gives access to a living area with an arch shaped window overlooking the bay of Sorrento with view onto the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida in the background; from here you can enjoy absolutely beautiful sunsets. A separate area has a double sofa bed, which can also be used for accommodation.

Second Floor

18 steps leading up to the second floor.  This floor is furnished and decorated in a contemporary style.  The attic with a dipping roof is equipped with cushions and a hammock. Living area with double sofa bed, TV. Kitchen with 4 electrical ranges, oven, refrigerator. The attic is ideal for relax, reading a book, yoga lessons etc. 4 steps down leads into a double bedroom with a wardrobe with en- suite bath with shower. In addition, this floor enjoys a small panoramic terrace furnished with a table and umbrella. Amazing view over the coastline. Air conditioning, central heating and Wi-Fi are to found throughout the property.

Swimming Pool

The pool area lies in the garden accessible from the house by walking down a path of 14 steps. The salt water pool has chromatic lightning (8 m x 6 m x 1.5 meters deep ) and the area is equipped with 6 comfortable sunbeds, a shell shaped sunbed for 2, umbrellas, tables and chairs.
