Villa Erica consists of the main, 3-story villa and a separate dependence situated poolside.  The property is accessible through a private, remote controlled gate, allowing access only to those residing in the private properties found along the road.  Villa Erica is set in an area planted with olive trees, flowers, and agaves.  Thanks to its position facing the sea, it offers wonderful views onto the island of Capri and the nearby coastline. The villa was built in 1964 by a famous Neapolitan architect, who had studied modern, Nordic architecture.  The characteristics of Villa Erica lies in its many original works of art and sculptures, which the owners have carefully collected from very appreciated Italian and international artists, such as Picarelli, Perez, Lello Esposito, Alfano, & Hermann Nitch, giving an art gallery-like atmosphere to the entire property. The three bedrooms in the main villa are all air conditioned.

Ground Floor

3 steps from the garden lead into a large living room with panoramic windows overlooking the garden, white washed walls and blue ceramic tiled floor, furnished perfectly to fit the property’s style; leather sofas, a glass topped table, a massive wooden table, 4 leather chairs, fireplace, and large plasma TV. An Alfano piece of art in copper dominates the passage between the living room and the dining area. The fully equipped kitchen is stylish and modern and enjoys iron working plates and a freezer, refrigerator with icemaker, 5-range stovetop, dishwasher, oven and microwave.  The dining area, with a glass topped table and 8 chairs, enjoys a panoramic window looking out onto the garden, planted with olive trees and equipped with a barbeque, creating an area ideal for outside dining with a dining table and 8  seats.  The ground floor also has a staff bedroom and shower room.

First Floor:

A flight of 17 steps lead from the living room to a corridor-sitting area with a sofa and a leather chaise lounge.  Double bedroom with an iron baldachin double bed, bedside tables, chairs and large built-in wardrobe.  2 French windows look out from the bedroom onto the garden. Spacious en-suite marble bathroom with bathtub, large mirror, sink, and towel rack.  A second bedroom displays twin beds, a small glass table, and a mirror.  En-suite bathroom, with shower box, large mirror, sink, and towel rack.  The bedroom accesses a small covered terrace through a set of French doors.  A side door leads out onto a paved terrace, wherefrom a staircase leads you down to a sitting area in the garden, with wooden chaise lounge chairs, under the olive trees.  A winding staircase of 15 steps leads from the second floor up to the top floor. On the terrace on the back of the house lies a Ping Pong table.

Top Floor

Double room with 2 futon sofas (each can be converted into a French bed), small tables, writing desk with chair.  The room enjoys a large, panoramic sliding window facing the island of Capri.  Small en-suite bathroom with wall shower, sink, and mirror.  A door leads out onto a nice double, unfurnished terrace offering incredible sea views onto the island of Capri and the Bay of Naples.  The terrace also enjoys an outdoor shower.

Dependànce

Accessed up 5 steps from main road, this lovely, natural stone cottage guest unit lies next to the pool, directly facing the Mediterranean sea.  The charming interior has been built around a large natural rock, which continues externally and becomes incorporated into the pool.  Double bed, open kitchenette with table and 2 chairs, small portable dining table and 2 chairs, and comfortable amenities, including a small refrigerator, 2-range stovetop, and microwave oven. The terrace enjoys a round wooden table and chairs for outdoor dining by the pool.  En-suite bath with shower.

Swimming Pool

Next to the dependànce lies the irregularly shaped swimming pool with hydro massage system (4 m x 6 m x 2 meters deep) and a small garden, directly facing the Mediterranean sea.

Access & Parking

The villa is accessed by 40 steps leading up a charming footpath through the garden. Parking spaces are available along the private road leading to the villa.
