PROPERTY DESCRIPTION 

Villa Valentina is an authentic 18th century villa, recently subjected to an attentive renovation which has enhanced the charm of the Tuscan villa without altering its original structure. It’s an ideal place to enjoy a pleasant and exclusive stay, the perfect location for those looking for a traditional Tuscan style venue offering stunning views, peaceful grounds and intimate atmosphere. 

Ground Floor

The front door leads into a large entrance room, on the right side is a bright, spacious great hall, which is the oldest section of the house. Characterized by great vaults, it leads to a comforable master bedroom, conveniently located on the ground floor, enhanced by an authentic French fireplace in green marble and furnished with the original antique furniture.To the left side of the entrance, you’ll find an elegant, sunny dining room with natural light coming in from the three windows overlooking the Villa’s garden. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with an independent entrance on the back of the villa.

First Floor

On the first floor is the sleeping area, fully equipped with air conditioning. The 17th century stone staircase opens onto a living room that leads to three en-suite bedrooms. On the left, a large hallway leads to the other three bedrooms, two with shared bathroom and one en-suite. ​The balcony on the first floor offers an exclusive view of Monteriggioni. All the sleeping area is fully equipped with air conditioning and each bedroom has been furnished with attention to details and colors retaining a charming atmosphere. 

Second Floor

There is also a second floor, with separate entrance, that is the apartment of the caretaker who will always be available for any requirement.

Swimming Pool

In a secluded area to the back of the villa, nestled among cypress and olive trees, is the swimming pool surrounded by a large green lawn.

LOCATION AND DISTANCE

The villa’s central location provides the opportunity to visit and come into close contact with this rich and varied area of Tuscany. It’s immersed in the countryside between Florence and Siena, so the main roads are well-connected to the villa and this permits easy day tours to both of these two cities as well as to Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo. From the terrace of the villa, you can admire the beautiful medieval castle walls that surround the village of Monteriggioni with its fourteen towers that stick out high into the air. A pleasant walking on the “Strade Bianche” (dirt back roads) that run among the olive groves of the villa, will allow you to enjoy the view of San Gimignano, with its thirteen medieval towers that overlook the valley and mark the skyline of the town. Walking straight on the path the way you can arrive to the impressive Fortress of Staggia. For those who want to go off exploring the main roads and find striking scenic views, a must is a visit of Volterra. A unique town which combines Etruscan, Roman and Medieval buildings in a single context. For bikers and hikers, close to the villa and to the natural park of the Montagnola, passes the ancient Via Francigena, along which you can visit the millenary Romanesque complex of Abbadia a Isola.
