PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Villa Regia is a wonderful 19th century villa, which belong exclusively in the hands of the same noble family and is a symbol of Italian style and elegance, the ideal place for lovers of the romantic, of absolute peace and quiet. Villa Regia’s interiors are of singular beauty: The authentic mosaic floors, a beautiful handmade turned wood staircases, statues and 18th century frescoes as well as fine paintings from the late 18* century. There is a truly ancient wine cellar, built of stones with vaulted ceilings with a vast selection of local, Italian and international wines.Restoration and refurbishment have been carried out in compliance with the principles of sustainable architecture and the interiors created to reflect the finest of wellbeing philosophy, thanks to expert advice from internationally respected professionals. 

Ground floor

The main entrance leads into a large foyer on the ground floor with its decorative 18th century marble fireplace, leads through a conservatory-style area with an incredible lake view from the formal dining room with seating for 16 guests and living room. On the ground level, there is a double bedroom with a bathroom. Well-equipped professional kitchen with gas stoves, oven, American coffee maker, toaster and microwave. Laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Half bath. Games room with table tennis table and table football. 

First floor

Two double rooms with lake views, each with its own bathroom and Jacuzzi tub, and a double room with its own private bathroom

Second Floor

A large veranda with lake view is a feature on this floor, complete with American pool table and play area for children. There are also two double rooms with private bathrooms.

Third floor

Finally on the top floor there are further three double rooms each with it’s own private bathroom.

Annex

Only 10 meters from the villa there is a pretty annex with a double bedroom and bathroom.

The Park & the Private Tennis Court

The Park was originally designed as an English garden in the mid-19th century and features age old trees of great beauty. Many of the gardens on the banks of Lake Como were originally formal Italianate gardens later transformed into English gardens.Acers, cork oaks, redwood pines, Chilean monkey-puzzle trees, cedars and Japanese bamboo are just a few of the beautiful and rare botanical examples that can be admired there.Small vegetable garden with a variety of fruit trees. Should they so wish, guests at the Villa may personally select the organic fruit and vegetables to be enjoyed in the many excellent dishes prepared by the chef at their service.For sports enthusiasts, the Villa has a tennis court with lighting for games in the evenings. For the younger children there is a playground designed especially for their use and pleasure.

Swimming pool

Villa Regia has a fine modern pool (10 m long x 6 m wide x 1 m deep) with lightning lying in a spacious area for sunbathing, comfortable sun loungers, tables, chairs, umbrellas and a shower with hot water.

If the weather is colder, the minimum necessary heating time is 48-72 hours. Once the minimum temperature is reached, a minimum 6 hours per day of heating is required to maintain the temperature
