Villa Colonnina dates back to the end of 1800 when it was a countryside home and residence for farmers coming to the Island from Sorrento. Today, this property has been beautifully renovated and completely outfitted with modern facilities, while maintaining its original, antique architecture typical to the Island of Capri. Some of the elements that make this villa special include its large windows illuminating the property and filling the villa with natural light; it’s pool (a less common feature on Capri), and its beautiful garden with lemon, olive, and fig trees. A terrace with a beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius and the Mediterranean lead into the pool area, where you will find a very large patio equipped with an external kitchen. The terrace bathroom includes separate men’s and women’s dressing rooms and makes the pool area totally independent from the rest of the house. Many external spaces, including the roof terrace, offer beautiful spots for al fresco dining while admiring the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. There are five bedrooms, each one with distinctly different appointments: BEDROOM 1 (Ground floor): Master bedroom with double bed (queen) and en-suite bathroom (bathtub) with a small balcony, a sitting room with a terrace access BEDROOM 2 (Ground floor): Double bedroom (queen bed) with en-suite bathroom (shower) with access from outside BEDROOM 3 (Ground floor): Double bedroom (queen bed) with en-suite bathroom (shower) with access from outside BEDROOM 4 ( Ground floor): Double bedroom ( queen bed ) with shared bathroom BEDROOM 5 (Mid floor): Double bedroom (queen bed) with en-suite bathroom (shower). All rooms have television, phone for internal calls and air-conditioned hot / cold.
Upon entry there is a hall equipped with antique furniture. The left staircase leads down to the mid-level floor. The ground floor offers a master bedroom with queen size bed (1.6×2.00m) with en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. There is also a small balcony. The bedroom provides access to the sitting room that can become either totally private or be reached from the main living area through a door. This room leads to a spacious panoramic terrace through its two French doors. The living and dining areas are connected offering a spectacular sea and island views and a spacious panoramic terrace. From here you can also access the roof top terrace through a flight of 21 steps in order to admire a 360-degree view. A guest bathroom is located along the corridor, and two extra bedrooms can be accessed externally only and offer queen sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with shower. A kitchen equipped with industrial fridge with an ice machine; Italian/American coffee makers; oven; microwave; induction hob; dishwasher; and table seating complete this floor.
12 steps from the hall will bring you to the mid-level floor that offers one double bedroom with its own bathroom with a shower, laundry area and an extra small bedroom available for 1 person of staff only.
A flight of 26 steps from the Ground floor leads to the Lower level. The level is divided into a few areas and can even become a separate suite. There is a study corner, library, and a spacious living area furnished with a comfortable sofa and TV. This area leads out to the main terrace where the swimming pool is located. There is also a game corner equipped with football table. From the living room there is access to the bedroom with a queen sized bed; its own sitting room and en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower. The villa has furthermore a small room with a massage bed, ideal for in house massage or beauty treatments.
