The origins of Anacoreta date back to the end of the 18th century, as engraved on a stone, probably from a local worker who, like many others, came to the area to enjoy its stunning nature or to find work. The name Anacoreta, refers to a former lemon grove, a landmark of the inhabitants of the small village of Conca dei Marini, at the heart of the Amalfi Coast in which it is located. Although Conca dei Marini has retained, more than any other town along the coast, the authenticity and genuineness of its past, the ambitious renovation of this ancient property, handed down from generations, came to fruition thanks to the diligence of its owner and those who wanted to bring this magical place back to its prior splendor. The villa offers a design able to reconcile the architectural, traditional, and formal characteristics of the Mediterranean, with an overpowering and invasive natural integration that surrounds the entire 15,000 sq meters of property. Attention to detail and design allow our guests to dream and relax in a refined and elegant setting. A pleasant walk overlooking the sea among, olive, oaks, & fig trees, as well as jasmine, caper, and prickly pears buses, lead guests to Anacoreta, located in a privileged position of total privacy.
