The origins of Anacoreta date back to the end of the 18th century, as engraved on a stone, probably from a local worker who, like many others, came to the area to enjoy its stunning nature or to find work.  The name Anacoreta, refers to a former lemon grove, a landmark of the inhabitants of the small village of Conca dei Marini, at the heart of the Amalfi Coast in which it is located.  Although Conca dei Marini has retained, more than any other town along the coast, the authenticity and genuineness of its past, the ambitious renovation of this ancient property, handed down from generations, came to fruition thanks to the diligence of its owner and those who wanted to bring this magical place back to its prior splendor. The villa offers a design able to reconcile the architectural, traditional, and formal characteristics of the Mediterranean, with an overpowering and invasive natural integration that surrounds the entire 15,000 sq meters of property.  Attention to detail and design allow our guests to dream and relax in a refined and elegant setting. A pleasant walk overlooking the sea among, olive, oaks, & fig trees, as well as jasmine, caper, and prickly pears buses, lead guests to Anacoreta, located in a privileged position of total privacy. Anacoreta’s interiors offer two exclusive suites, each with its own private bathroom, in rock and marble, with whirlpool bathtubs. Master Suite (55 mq): The master bedroom is reachable from the ground floor, 8 steps down from the dining room. The master room enjoys a double king size bed in cashmere and a double size hot tube under to the bed. The ceiling is adorned with wooden beams, the floor with parquet, and part of wall is etched in rock. There is an antique wooden case and a large smart TV, and two 60’s design armchairs. The back of the bed is in backlit carved onyx. There is also a fireplace. The adjacent bathroom is in rock and boasts a modern Zazzeri shower, a ceramic Hatria toilet, and a handmade marble sink. This bedroom offers direct access onto a terrace with sea views overlooking the Bay of Capo of Conca and The Saracen watchtower. Double bedroom (30 mq): This room accesses the same terrace as the master, and shares the same garden sea views. The bedroom has is own independent entrance, 5 steps down from the main villa entrance. The bedroom offers a double bed in cashmere and a double size hot tube. The sink in marble is beautifuly shaped as a pillow. The floors are parquet and the room boasts enchanting vaulted ceilings. There is a fireplace in the dining area, a bathroom, and a big antique table for 10, chairs, a modern design lamp on the floor, a bouvette, as well as an ice machine, a coffee machine, and antique ceramic milk & tea cups. There property enjoys a plethora of terraces that look out to the sea.In the traditional kitchen there are two handmade ovens with finely decorated tiles, a large marble topped countertop, and a large handmade marble sink.  The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a large oven refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and a two still worktop. Anacoreta operates its own farm, through a series of terraces on the sea, and gives guests the possibility to taste the natural products of its garden.

Terrace and Belvedere:

The ground floor of the Anacoreta also accesses an outdoor patio furnished with a big barbeque, a sofa and chaise lounge chairs. The outdoor lounge area lies 20 meters from the entrance of Villa and overlooks Capo of Conca Bay, the Galli island and The Faraglioni.  This area is equipped with Umbrellas and sun lounge chairs.
