San Cipriano Residence is one of the most luxurious and unique places to stay in Rome, situated in the XVI century Palazzo Ruspoli, which was built by Bartolomeo Ammannati in the second half of the 16th century for a wealthy Florentine family and later acquired by the Ruspoli family, who still reside in it today.  From its inception, the palace has been a place of hospitality hosting ambassadors and used as a meeting place for Europe’s high society and place “to see and be seen”.  Careful renovation has fully restored the apartment to its original splendour and offers guests the best of a classical Roman Palazzo with all modern conveniences. In the last few years the apartment has been carefully renovated to its original splendour of its wall hanging, and its paintings have been cleaned and restored. San Cipriano Residence consists of two apartments: San Cipriano Residence (which has an optional extra bedroom called the Blue Room) and the Roof Garden Suite Apartment available on request, adorned with original, antique furnishings, massive oil paintings, XVI century tapestries, parquets floors, and hand-stencilled walls. Based on 3 different floors connected by a stairway, please note that they can be rented separately or altogether. The apartment (The Roof Garden with apartment with independent access or connected to the Residence) is accessed through massive wooden doors and an elegant arcade of Doric columns.  A grand, marble, 16th century staircase, lined with antique marble busts of past Roman Emperors, leads up to the entrance. The Residenza is accessible through the Green Reception room, which is beautifully adorned with oil paintings from the XVI century showing the most picturesque corners in and around Rome and elegantly furnished with antique chairs, sofa and table. The room also features a large fireplace. Breakfast is served daily in the Green Reception on Bulgari Silver.  Between the Green Reception and the master bedroom lies the intimate living area also called the Yellow Room, comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs and equipped with a large satellite plasma TV – ideal for relaxing after a day in the city. The San Cipriano Master Room (Bed size (1,95 m. x 2,10 m.): The master bedroom has a large canopied bed draped with beautiful fabrics and silks. One of the six huge oil paintings in the bedroom forms the headboard while another painting opens to reveal an exquisite marble bathroom. Guests enter the Palazzo through huge wooden doors and pass along an elegant arcade of Doric columns with ancient artifacts on display, excavated on site. A grand marble staircase, lined with antique marble busts of Roman Emperors, leads up to the entrance of the apartment. The Cipriano Suite offers two large reception rooms and a large bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and powder room. The Blue Room (Bed size: 165 cm. x 183 cm.), Second Floor: A cosy, 200 sq. foot suite is situated on the second floor of San Cipriano Residence and can be rented in conjunction with the main Residenza apartment.  The bedroom is called “Blue” because of its décor and colour, blue and white Chinese vases, and it is charming and cosy although not as grand as the master bedroom in the Residenza. The Blue room is accessed up a private staircase off the main living room of San Cipriano Residence.  After passing through the San Cipriano Suite’s green reception room, and entering the Yellow reception room, on the right you will find the Master bedroom while on the left there is a wooden staircase (16 stairs) leading to the Blue Bedroom. The suite can be fitted with either two separate, single beds (1.20 meters wide) or one double bed and enjoys an en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, a cabinet closet, a small balcony and a sofa bed. The room has air conditioning, Led TV, DVD/Blu-ray player, complimentary wifi internet access, sleepers, hairdryer and Bulgari toiletries. (Please note: The Blue Room is only available when booked as an interconnecting addition to the Cipriano Suite).  

Spanish Steps Suite (Bed size 160×190):

This suite is made of a comfortable 30 Sq. m living room and dining room with two small balconies, decorated with the family’s own collection of antique and original paintings. The 25 Sq. m bedroom is located atop a flight of stairs; it has lovely views of the iconic Spanish Steps and the Dome of San Carlo and has an en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Alcove bedroom: suitable for 1 single 10 sq. m. small room. 5 steps lead to another cozy bedroom with a nice alcove bed, (size: 160 x 188) one side descent and en-suite bathroom. The walls are decorated with a French white and blue tapestry showing countryside images. Independent Roof Garden Suite 1 bedroom 70 sq. m (753 sq. feet) Situated on the upper floor of the XVI century Palazzo Ruspoli, this apartment has one of the most beautiful roof garden overlooking the city, with a multi-level decked terrace of over 60 sqm. The terrace is furnished with terracotta pots of lavender and enjoys stunning views across one of the world’s most beautiful cities. To enter the suite, you climb a spiral staircase reaching a charming sitting room overlooking the terrace. The main bedroom is 20 sqm large with a comfortable double bed, the all-brand new bathroom is 10sqm large with a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The suite has air conditioning, wifi internet access, multi-language satellite Led TV Blu-ray, /DVD player, hi-fi stereo, fully stocked minibar, Nespresso Machine, kettle, sleepers, hairdryer, room safe, Bulgari toiletries and maid service. Our Suggestions:  Spectacular apartment, once the private residence of Napoleone Bonaparte.  San Cipriano Residence can also be rented together with the suite “The Blue Room” or the independent Garden Roof Apartment to accommodate a total of 9 guests.  It is possible to arrange laundry service, butler, babysitter, and beauty treatments upon request.  Saunas, steam baths, swimming pools, and a running track are located nearby.  A truly wonderful and unique city apartment.
