Villa Anita is located just above the western banks of the world-famous Lake Como, which is home to a whole host of intellectuals, artists and celebrities. Lake Como has been an elite destination since the times of the Roman Empire and its glamorous inhabitants, deep blue water, wooded hillsides and dramatic Alpine backdrop are guaranteed to find a lasting place in your heart. The particular position of picturesque Moltrasio allows the village to enjoy the sunlight all day long, thus guaranteeing a mild climate even in spring and autumn. The nearby village of Cernobbio dates back to the 12th century and sits at the foot of Mount Bisbino and offers everything you might need in the way of shops, restaurants and services. There is also a wonderful viewpoint, known locally as the Riva di Cernobbio. The larger town of Como is a twenty-minute drive and contains numerous churches, works of art, museums, theatres, palaces and public gardens. For the walkers, there is a funicular, which runs up to the village of Brunate, 700 metres above Como. It is the starting point for some spectacular walking tracks and has superb views of the Alps. Como is famous for its silk and you can either see the full silk-making processes or just sit in the lively piazzas and watch the world go by. Como also hosts various international speed boat races and becomes a magnet for the rich and famous.Villa Anita is in an ideal position for exploring the marvels of Lake Como and is about an hour’s drive from the romantic gem of Bellagio. Bellagio is known locally as La Perla del Lago for its outstanding beauty, quality restaurants, local trattorias, chic shopping and of course the famous Italian homemade gelato ice cream.

The first sensation when you arrive at Villa Anita is the strong energy and well-being that emanates from a romantic and nostalgic place. The original residence dates back to the early 1900s and today, thanks to a skillful renovation, it has been completely modernized and equipped with every comfort. The magnificent garden, with centuries-old plants and rose garden, is well cared for and equipped for dining and enjoying the warmth of summer afternoons,The entire property, including all outdoor spaces, is equipped with free Wi-Fi. Yours music can play throughout the house thanks to the multi-room sound system, garden sound and audio swimming pool, which can be managed directly from your smartphone or pc. A sophisticated air conditioning system will allow you to cool off during the summer heat. The approach was to preserve historical elements, combining them with the most modern comforts in order to enhance their innate beauty, making you feel naturally at home. All the rooms are embellished with paintings and works of art chosen and set up by the Spazio Porpora Gallery in Milan.

A very successful combination of the best of the tradition of Italian residences and a great elegance of style, for moments that will become unique and precious. The common rooms on the ground floor are among the most spectacular of all the luxurious Italian villas on Lake Como. All the main rooms enjoy a wonderful view of the first basin. The superb dining room is adorned with precious original stuccoes, as well as an 18th century fireplace Carrara white marble. The setting is completed by a precious room in the Roche Bobois and a chandelier made especially for the home by the Venetian masters of Barovier & Toso.The sitting room allows you to enjoy a unique view of both the lake and the private garden with its charming views and water features. The skillful work of local upholsterers has created a brightly colored and relaxing environment. The room also boasts original stuccos of particular note and window panes by the prestigious French firm Saint Gobain which were fitted in the early 1900s and already considered unique and exquisite at the time. The ground floor offers to the guests a functional and fully equipped modern kitchen, complete with every accessory as well as a laundry room with washer and dryer and a characteristic guest bathroom that has remained to its pure original liberty style. The charming and majestic entrance hall leads you to splendid Art Deco windows that underline the rays of light.A large staircase made of decorated Moltrasio stone takes the guests to the rooms of the two upper floors, which are also expertly decorated with fine stuccos and lime paints. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, two double rooms with full lake view and one single room with side lake view. It was possible to preserve the original nailed oak parquet flooring which runs throughout this floor.

Those staying in this room can enjoy the colors of the lake even when lying down. The originality of the Cocoon Zeppelin chandelier by Marcel Wanders for Flos dominates the space. The “golden room”, featuring a double bed, transports you into a dreamlike ambiance and then leads you to a large terrace equipped with outdoor furniture, allowing you to fully enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire lake. The magical and surprising “wonder kamera” highlights the villa’s first fresco painting. Deliberately delicately restored, it is the key to understand the transformations of Villa Paradiso. On the ceiling, a shining Skydro takes you to a world of sparkling steel bubbles. This floor has two bathrooms. The first, in green color, is modern in concept but also features the original stucco on the walls. The large free-standing Toulouse bathtub bestows the softness of the time. All the furnishings and fittings are by Victoria & Albert. The second one, in brown color, on the other hand, is equipped with a large shower and embellished by chrome details that create evocative plays of light. The Taraxacum chandelier, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, whose bubbles transport the guests into a Hollywood-style atmosphere, is particularly worth of note.

Second Floor

The small tower on the second floor of the villa is a veritable jewel. Three elegant, sophisticated rooms allow guests the use of a comfortable sleeping area, which can be prepared with either twin or a double bed, a wardrobe area and a superb bathroom featuring the original cast iron bathtub. On side a beautiful terrace. The floor is embellished by silks and fine fabrics that makes the atmosphere unique. The chip and Lombard terracotta tiles lend the floor an even more timeless feel, allowing harmony and relaxation to deliver their beneficial effects to the guests. 

Villa Anita – Guesthouse

Just at the side of the villa is located a little guest house with two double bedrooms, a cosy living room and a shared bathroom; the guest house has a balcony with the same stunning view on the lake, from the guesthouse a private passage gives access to the swimming pool area and the garden of the villa.
