Torre del Pellicano is an ancient Spanish watchtower full of charm, situated in a wonderfully panoramic position, perched up on top of a cliff overlooking the sea and the area of Monte Argentario in the southern part of Tuscany.  The villa, which was erected to protect against the Saracen invasions, is found a short distance from the Maremma Natural Park, offering spectacular views from every corner out towards Porto Santo Stefano and the hills of Mount Argentario, the Medieval Borgo Talamone, and of the islands Giannutri, Giglio and Montecristo, known for its famous marine park.  The property has recently undergone restoration and rises up on private land closed with an electronically controlled security gate.  A small boulevard of magnificent Argave cacti leads to the front door, creating a romantic and exotic atmosphere.  The Torre also enjoys its own independent path leading directly down to the sea and allowing for private boat docking, and its own private sunbathing deck.

Ground floor

The dining area with fireplace is found through the front door. Two double bedrooms each with private bathrooms; one with bathtub the other with shower.  The dining room is found along the entrance corridor.  Modern and fully equipped kitchen.  At the end of the corridor lies the third bedroom, also with private bathroom, with shower and bathtub.

First floor

Staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find a very large living-room, equipped with air conditioning and fireplace and furnished with comfortable lounge chairs, couches, and a rectangular antique wooden table which can easily accommodate up to 8 people.  From the living room one can admire a fabulous 180° view.  Access to a splendid terrace divided into two areas:  A dining area and a relaxation and sunbathing corner with deckchairs and a Jacuzzi.   The view from the terrace is breathtaking.  It captures Porto S. Stefano and the hills of Mount Argentario on one side, Talamone and the Natural Park on the other.  One can also admire a spectacular view of the islands of Giannutri, Giglio, and Montecristo.

The Tower

A small staircase leads from the ground floor to the lookout tower.  This, too, has been restored, and is divided into two floors.  It consists of a double bedroom, with a small bathroom containing shower facilities, a walk in wardrobe, and living room.  A second, small terrace is also accessible from the second floor.

Access

The property is accessible after driving down an unpaved road (100 meters).
