LOCATION

Furore is a characteristic municipality on the Amalfi Coast, tucked away in a tiny village overlooking the coast, situated halfway between Conca dei Marini (6 km) and Agerola (7 km).Following the hairpin curves of the road that cut along the coast between Amalfi and Positano, it’s easy to miss Furore. Called “the town that isn’t”, due to its lack of town hall, this charming nook is composed of two parts; one on the sea, the other on the mountain. The town is a scattered collection of houses sprinkled across the rocky cliffs. The hamlet of Fiordo is situated at the foot of the cliff down by the sea, along the main coastal road between Amalfi and Positano.Villa La Rosa is a beautiful fortified construction dating back to 1500, with original thick walls and a watch tower. The villa building features three double bedrooms with king-size beds, each with a private bathroom and sea views and one which boasts a stunning private sun terrace and solarium. There is also a double-bedroom suite for four with a private bathroom, perfect for families.The property is a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of an ancient residence set amidst both the countryside and the sea on the Amalfi Coast.  A charming short flight of steps leads to staples like a minimarket, a post office, ATM, pharmacy, bar, restaurant, and a bus stop which connects the town to Amalfi.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Ground floor

This villa, composed of a vast ground floor, including the kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, wine cellar, and bathroom, is located in one of the most picturesque and panoramic areas of the entire coastline.  The country house is surrounded by lemon trees, century-old olive trees, and the typical Mediterranean flora and is equipped with courtyards, terraces, a barbecue, a solarium and a panoramic infinity pool. The villa can be rented for 8-10 guests as there are three king bedrooms on the first floor and one bedroom with two double beds on the ground floor. The kitchen and living room are located on the ground floor, adjacent to the inner courtyard. The kitchen boasts an aura of conviviality in its rustic space and enjoys a large preparation table and ceramic floors, as well as a stovetop dominated by a hood decorated with ancient copper cookware. There is an oven with 5 gas range, large fridge and freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher.  Dining area with table seating 12 guests, sofa, and en-suite bath with shower. The living room, with its beautiful fireplace, enjoys an ancient wood table and a 19th Century Neapolitan sideboard where fresh pies, cakes, and fruit are placed each morning.  There is also a small TV, sofas and two couches. The living room is a perfect place to relax, read a book, watch a movie, listen to music, or have a drink. Near the living room lies a spacious bedroom with two large double beds and private bath with shower; the room faces directly onto the garden through three large French windows. The staff area includes kitchen facilities for breakfast preparation and a bathroom with shower. The villa is filled with period furniture and offers luxury finishes (silk sofas, gold leaf beds, handmade terracotta floors), and is supplied with high quality linens and all modern comforts.

First Floor

The first floor, up a characteristically vaulted staircase, boats the uniquely charming bedrooms furnished with style and grace.  The three king bedrooms located on this floor, each have their own private bath.  Each bedroom also enjoys air conditioning and heat, a plasma television, telephone, internet connection, mini-bar, security strongbox, fine Italian handmade linens and set of pillows. One of the king bedrooms has a king that can be divided into two singles if necessary.

Bedroom 1: The Santa Rita bedroom is divided into two lofts, with the lower level of the room comprising a private bathroom with large shower box and an ancient writing desk while the upper level hosts the wonderfully adorned king size bed.

Bedroom 2: The Sant ’Alfieri bedroom is immersed in gold and brown colors. It is comprised of an impressive rosewood wardrobe, two sofas and a king size bed, all of which date back to the 18th century.

Bedrooms 3: The appealing Sant’Antonio’s bedroom, reachable through 12 steps, is rich in antique furniture and crystal chandeliers and hosts a majestic king size bed from which you can enjoy unforgettable panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast. Private bathroom with tub. The bedroom also has a private terrace and solarium equipped with an iron table and two iron chairs.

Outdoor Areas

The garden surrounding the villa is built on various terraces facing the sea.  The garden enjoys lots of century-old olive trees and a spectacular century-old maritime pine which provides a very pleasant cool shade during warm summer days. The various terraces boast aromatic herbs that can be used for cooking, lemon trees, and an organic vegetable garden.

Swimming Pool

Beautiful infinity swimming pool with hydro massage, which is reached a short flight of 13 steps from the villa’s ground floor. Infinity pool with Jacuzzi (12x5x1.5m), solarium with changing room, outdoor showers and deck chairs.

Access & Parking

The property is reached by a set of 80 stairs, so it may not be suitable for people with restricted mobility. However, a porter is available on arrival and departure to help with your luggage.Public parking available.

WEEKLY – ADVANCED PROVISIONING FOOD ALLOWANCETO BE PAID IN EUROS ON ARRIVAL

• € 1,500. The cost of purchasing food and drink is charged to the guests. On the day of arrival guests will be required to provide this additional provisioning cost. This cost covers only the cost of food and beverages. The weekly food allowance starts at € 1500 but depends on the duration of the lease and, unless otherwise indicated.  The allowance must be paid in cash. It is recommended that a list be sent in advance specifying the provisions required, otherwise this service cannot be guaranteed. The villa staff will undertake to document the expenditure with all receipts.
